Pat LaLand

Pat LaLandPat LaLand: Pat is a former museum administrator who has served as a writer, spokesperson, and lecturer for Colonial Williamsburg and has been writing magazine and newspaper articles for a number of years. She has won recognition for her work from The Virginia Press Women as well as the National Association of Press Women for press releases and for articles in such magazines as Southern Living, House Beautiful, Colonial Homes and Early American Life, Garden Design, and House and Garden among others, and The Free Lance-Star newspaper in Fredericksburg, VA. Pat has proved she can present a fast-moving and comprehensive yet detailed explanation of how to work toward being published in periodicals. She explains her methods, with examples, and provides samples of her work in the above publications. She answers questions in a practical, straight-forward, and helpful manner or can read from her work if requested. She can also speak on Virginia colonial history.
