The Golden Nib
Also, please be sure to check out the current and past winners of the Virginia Writers Club annual writing contest, the Golden Nib. The Golden Nib is awarded in three categories: fiction, non-fiction, and poetry. Winners must be a member in good-standing of a VWC chapter as well as a member of the state organization. Each chapter submits one representative in each category to the state finals, where first, second, and third place winners are announced at the annual meeting (usually held in November).
Winning entries are published electronically in our Golden Nib Anthology, listed below (please note all anthologies are .pdf files and require a .pdf reader, such as Adobe Acrobat). Rules for the 2011 Golden Nib contest can be downloaded here [pdf file | 126k].
