Kathleen mixKathleen Mix: Kathleen is a novelist and nonfiction writer. Her articles have appeared in regional and national sailing and travel magazines. One is included in The Best of Sail: Commonsense Cruising (Sheridan House). Avalon Books published her first novel, A Trade Wind Season. Her latest romantic suspense, Beacon Award winner Secret Stranger, is available from The Wild Rose Press. Deadly Paradise will be released in late 2008. Kathleen earned an engineering degree from the University of Connecticut and is a former Coast Guard licensed charter captain. She is a member of Sisters in Crime and the Virginia Writers Club, and President of Virginia Romance Writers. She is available to speak on a variety of writing topics including fictional dialogue, suspense novels, the romance genre, and how to get published. She can also share her adventures living aboard a sailboat in the Bahamas, Caribbean, and South America. Presentations can be customized for writers, readers, book clubs, or boaters.
