Michael S. Zbailey

Michael S. Zbailey: Mike is a freelance writer of non fiction--mostly history with a focus on personalities. His work has been published in The Washington Post "Sunday Style" section (feature article), Providence Journal Magazine, Blue Ridge Country Magazine, C-Ville (the news and arts weekly in Charlottesville), and other publications. He won first place for non-fiction in the 2002 Virginia Writers Club writing contest. He participated in a Civil War panel at the 2003 Virginia Festival of the Book in Charlottesville, where he made a presentation on a Civil War soldier made famous in the Ken Burns’ PBS series on the Civil War. Mike is president of the Charlottesville Chapter of the VWC and is a member of the VWC board. He is prepared to talk about American history, writing, or both.
