Bio
Terry Cox-Joseph is a past president of the Poetry Society of Virginia. She is a member of the National League of Penwomen, and is a former newspaper reporter and editor. From 1994-2004 she was the coordinator for the annual Christopher Newport University Writers' Conference and Contest. An award-winning poet, she has been published in Northern Virginia Review, Chiron Review, and Red River Review among others. Her first chapbook, Between Then and Now, was published by Finishing Line Press in November, 2018. She is a member of the Virginia Watercolor Society, Yorktown Arts (On The Hill Gallery), Hampton Arts League and the Peninsula Watermedia Society. Her children, pets and the waterfront provide a constant resource for her writing and art. (As well as an unremitting source of income for Stanley Steemer.) She often works long into the night with only chocolate to sustain her.
