Bio
I am a lover of books of all kinds and genres but my heart belongs to romance. No matter the subject, every story can use a little romance. My first book, Something to Hope For, was published in June 2024 and is about a fictional small town in Virginia called, Crossroads. The Crossroads Series is for fans of small town stories, second-chance romance, and lost souls finding their way home. I target having the second book in the series, Something to Fight For, published in the first half of 2025.

When not trying to steal time out of my day to write, I am one half of an all-star parenting duo that plays chauffeur, chef, and housekeeper for two daughters, two bearded dragons, and two Boston terriers.

You can connect with me through my website, Night Owl Stories (https://www.nightowlstories.com/), or on Facebook (https://www.facebook.com/tsrobinsonnightowlstories) and Instagram (https://www.instagram.com/t.s.robinson/). I am always happy to connect and discuss books, writing, and the things that make life worth living.

Work 1 - Description
Some things you can’t outrun. You can’t deny. You can’t avoid. I've spent years trying to escape from something that I can't run from. I’m finally ready to stop. To go back. I’ve heard you can never go home again. I hope that’s not true.

It was a horrific crash. That’s what everyone said who remembered what happened. And in a small town like Crossroads, everyone remembered. My brother and I lost our parents that day and, in an instant, our lives changed forever. My name is Tess McCabe, and this is my story.

I fled Crossroads as soon as I was able and didn’t look back. I wanted to leave it all behind, family, friends, and, most importantly, memories. I started a new life somewhere else and did my best to forget. And it worked for many years…until now. Now, I’m going back home.

I had two best friends growing up. One of them I fell in love with, and then I destroyed our relationship. And, the other just died unexpectedly from an aneurysm. For such a small town, Crossroads has a disproportionate share of tragedy. Or, maybe tragedy is just felt more deeply in a place where everyone knows everyone else. On top of that, my career has gone off the rails, which starkly highlights that outside of work, I have nothing.

I’m returning to Crossroads to face the family I pushed away, the man I crushed, and the friends I left behind. Would it be the hometown I remembered? Would I belong again like I used to? Can I find a piece of my old self? The person I used to be. The person I lost all those years ago.

For fans of small town stories, second-chance romance, and lost souls finding their way home, discover this first story, Something to Hope For, in the new series, The Crossroads.
Meet the people in the small town of Crossroads, Virginia. Live with them as they overcome tragedy, celebrate triumphs, and stick together through the highs and lows of life.
