Bio
Carol A. Thomas grew up in an extended family of front-porch story-tellers near Fredericksburg, Virginia. She is a former national award-winning journalist for Media General, where she wrote for multiple periodicals, including the Richmond Times-Dispatch and The Free Lance-Star. Carol also holds a doctorate focusing on education and writing, and has authored several education documents and curriculums while serving as a school teacher and later, as a principal. Her additional hobbies include genealogy, traveling and photography. She currently lives and gardens with her family on a portion of her late great grandparents’ farm, where she continues to write about people and places, including co-authoring two books.
