[WRITER'S RETREAT] "Finding Esse: Nurturing the Soul of the Writer"

  • 06/21/2017
  • 8:30 AM - 5:00 PM
  • Del Fosse Vineyard - Faber, VA

The Blue Ridge Writers Chapter of the Virginia Writers Club invites you to their second annual WRITER'S RETREAT on Wednesday, June 21, to "unplug" and enjoy a full day in the mountains to reconnect with the muses and each other as creatives at the beautiful Del Fosse Vineyards in Faber, VA.

Almost everything will work again, if you unplug it for a few minutes, including you.  — Anne Lamott, author

The retreat will be facilitated by Louise Mitchell, an author, spirit life coach, and contemporary shaman who has facilitated workshops and retreats for 26 years. Her writing retreats include a guided meditation specifically for creatives, an inspired-writing exercise, personal time for a hike and writing, wrapping up with a time for sharing inspirations from the day.

Very enjoyable! I liked the relaxing exercises and music that made writing come easily. It was also good to get to know fellow writers better.  — 2016 participant

Registration is $25 and includes lunch and refreshments. TO REGISTER, e-mail Louise Mitchell at louise-mitchell[at]comcast.net for additional information. (Deadline to register - June 16.)

NOTE: If unable to attend, mark your calendar for the Blue Ridge Writers' next writer's retreat on April 25, 2018 at the Sevenoaks Retreat Center in Madison, VA.

Never stop learning... I heard a voice whisper, and knew I had permission to be curious, to wonder ... to never stop seeking the essential nature of my being and source of self-expression.” — Louise M. Mitchell, Author & Facilitator
